Instructions for the Ultimate Dessert Pricing Challenge!

My friend, If you haven’t read part one then please go and check out the exercise and part one because this exercise is connected with part one which was making the desert. After completing exercise number one in part one this is exercise number two.

At the very beginning, my friend calculated the cost of the ingredients, labor, and overhead with precision. no, you have to consider the hotel’s grand opening event and the target audience’s willingness to pay a premium for a luxurious desert experience. But make sure to set a minimum price that can make your desert a very profitable masterpiece!

My friend, you have to focus on the design part. You have to design, stunning, sturdy packaging, that can protect your desert during transportation and display. Also create some custom boxes, bags or containers that can reflect your brand, and identity, and add to the overall luxury experience. In short, you have to make it Instagram-worthy!

Honey, now you have to determine the optimal serving size to balance the profit margin with customer satisfaction as well. Offer smaller, bite-size portions for a higher price point or larger portions for a premium price. You have to make it a sweet surprise!

Instructions for Making Dessert:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch (23x33cm) baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • Line the bottom with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Baking powder
  • Salt

Mix Wet Ingredients:

In a large bowl, whisk together:

  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract

Combine and Pour

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake and Cool:

  • Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Poke and Pour kinds of milk:

  • Once the cake is completely cool, poke holes all over the top with a skewer or fork.
