The Power of Thought (To Achieve Wealth)

Hill’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: our thoughts and beliefs have a direct impact on our ability to succeed and become rich. He writes, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” (Chapter 1) The power of thought is the foundation of Hill’s principles. My friend believes that our thoughts and beliefs shape our actions and our reality. If you think positive and believe in yourself, you would be able to take action and you would be able to achieve all of your goals. If you think negatively and doubt yourself, you will procrastinate and fail. Hill emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and self-control in managing our thoughts. He writes, “You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct, and control your thoughts.” (Chapter 1)

To have the power of thought, ask yourself:

  • What are my thoughts and beliefs about myself and my abilities?
  • Are my thoughts positive and empowering, or negative and limiting?
  • What can I do to control and direct my thoughts towards my goals?

My friend for instance let’s say you want to start a business, but you are afraid of failure. Your thoughts might be:

  • “I’m not good enough to start a business.”
  • “I don’t have the skills or experience.”
  • “I’ll never be able to compete with larger companies.”

To change these negative thoughts, you could: Challenge them by asking yourself if they’re true.

Replace them with positive and empowering thoughts, such as:

  • “I can learn and grow.”
  • “I have unique skills and experiences that will help me succeed.”
  • “I’ll focus on serving my customers and providing value.”

Honey, if you have the power of thought, you will be able to overcome the challenges, you will be able to achieve all of your goals, and you will be able to become the person you want to be. Remember, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” (Chapter 1)

The 13 Principles of Success (to Achieve Wealth)

This book is organized into 13 principles, each building on the previous one to provide a comprehensive guide to achieving success and wealth. Let’s have a brief overview of each principle.

  1. Auto-Suggestion to Achieve Wealth

My friend, we have all already discussed Auto Suggestion and part one, but it was not detailed so let’s discuss and detail what exactly is Auto suggestion. My friend Auto’s suggestion is the third print of Success and Will. Hill defines auto-suggestion as “the agency of communication between the conscious and subconscious mind.” (Chapter 3) Auto suggestion process of using operations and self to program your subconscious mind with positive thoughts, and beliefs. If you use Autosuggestion, you can overcome the negative thoughts and beliefs, and you can build your faith and confidence in yourself and your abilities. Hill emphasizes the importance of auto-suggestion in achieving success and wealth. He writes, “The subconscious mind will not argue with you. It will accept whatever you tell it and act upon it.” (Chapter 3)

To use auto-suggestion effectively, follow these steps:

  • Identify your negative thoughts and beliefs.
  • Challenge them by asking yourself if they’re true.
  • Replace them with positive and empowering affirmations.
  • Repeat your affirmations regularly, with conviction and feeling.

For instance, let’s say that you have a negative thought like I’m not good enough to succeed. You could challenge it by asking yourself is this thought true? Then you could replace it with a positive affirmation like I’m capable and confident in your abilities. If you repeat your affirmations regularly, you will be able to reprogram your subconscious mind with positive thoughts and beliefs, and you will be able to build your faith and feel confidence in yourself and your abilities. Remember, “The subconscious mind will not argue with you. It will accept whatever you tell it and act upon it.” (Chapter 3)

  1. Specialized Knowledge

My friend, specialized knowledge is the fourth principle of success and wealth. Hill defines specialized knowledge as “the result of the accumulation of years of experience and knowledge in a particular field or profession.” (Chapter 4) specialized knowledge is the expertise and skills that you develop in a specific area, such as business, art, science, or technology. It is the knowledge that sets you apart from others, and it makes you valuable in your field. Hill emphasizes the importance of specialized knowledge in achieving success and wealth. He writes, “The most successful people in the world are those who have specialized knowledge in their particular field.” (Chapter 4)

To acquire specialized knowledge, you must:

  • Identify your area of interest and passion.
  • Study and learn from experts in your field.
  • Apply what you learn and gain practical experience.
  • Continuously update and expand your knowledge.

For example, let’s say you want to become a successful writer. You could:

  • Read books and articles on writing and literature.
  • Take writing courses and attend workshops.
  • Write regularly and publish your work.
  • Continuously learn from other writers and editors.

By acquiring specialized knowledge, you can:

  • Increase your earning potential.
  • Gain recognition and respect in your field.
  • Develop a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
  • Achieve financial independence.

Remember, “The most successful people in the world are those who have specialized knowledge in their particular field.” (Chapter 4)

In conclusion, the principles outlined in this book are the result of Hill’s extensive research and experimentation on the nature of success and wealth. He has identified the 13 principles and talked about 2 of them today. If you want to learn more principles then come back tomorrow for part 3. These principles are common to all successful people and have provided a clear and practical guide on how to apply these principles in your own life. By applying these principles, you can achieve great things and live a life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. You can overcome obstacles and challenges, and stay focused and motivated on your path to success. Remember, success is not just about achieving wealth and material possessions, but about living a life that is true to your values and purposes. It is about being the best version of yourself and making a positive impact on the world around you. As Hill says, “The greatest achievement in life is to live a life that is true to your values and purposes, and to make a positive impact on the world around you.” So, take the principles outlined in this book to heart, and start applying them in your own life today. Stay focused, stay motivated, and never give up on your dreams. Remember, “The greatest achievement in life is to live a life that is true to your values and purposes, and to make a positive impact on the world around you.”
